About the work
A colour woodblock print from Hokusai’s Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, made in the early 1830s. On a riverside path at Senju in Musashi Province, travellers and a horse pass the timbers of a weir, while Fuji rises small and pale on the horizon.
Printed on 200 gsm museum-quality matte paper from the museum’s high-resolution open-access image, with a white border so nothing of the original is cropped. Available from A4 up to 70 × 100 cm, or as a digital download to print yourself.
