About the work
From Hokusai’s series A Tour of Waterfalls in the Provinces, published in the early 1830s. The Ono waterfall on the Kiso Road drops in long vertical strands past a small shrine, while travellers on a bridge below stop to take in the view.
Printed on 200 gsm museum-quality matte paper from the museum’s high-resolution open-access image, with a white border so nothing of the original is cropped. Available from A4 up to 70 × 100 cm, or as a digital download to print yourself.
